i love minhyuk babe!

i miss the 13 flower boys… is there a medicine for this illness?

i cant say that the super junior i always see this time is the super junior i knew before….

i miss them

i miss them but i dont know what to do when i miss them. I watch their videos in youtube and even in other sites yet i cant still feel the happiness that i experience when they are complete. since 2008, i’ve been there lover but in that time i didnt give much importance to it but in that time they are complete… when i watch their videos, I always feel the happiness that i wanted and i can also see on their eyes that they are happy.

but today, the present… i cant feel the happiness i experience before and even in super junior i cant see that they are happy on what they are now. I know, there is lot will bash this but i know there is lot of fans can notice that super junior is not the super junior we knew before… yes, they are smiling but do you think they are smiling inside?
yeah! they receive lot of awards last year and this year 2010 but for me, instead of receiving lot of award I rather want to see the super junior complete. there is lot of difference when super junior complete betweed incomplete….
i remember in the making of “marry you”…. they are complete in that mv, right?
we can see that they are happy and even talking crap jokes to each other, they don’t even intend others but they slapped and fight in front of the camera… but now, one false move… one will sacrifice and even all of them will sacrifice, i can see that they don’t have the freedom to do what they want, like what happened to kangin oppa… what’s wrong if he wants and party life and night? he is still a human being who need something that can make him happy….

i wish it could happen, the moments of our past
the moment of the start when i knew them…

as what i said, i didn’t give importance to them when i first knew them.
much better if i dont give importance to them so that i can see them smiling physically and emotionally

ps.
now, i’m off… tomorrow,,, i’m with super junior and minhyuk again.

April Fool’s Day :) :( mixed emotions..speechless? ☺

I’ve been fooled a lot of times yesterday. i hate it… i don’t know if I’m going to believe or not. Yesterday, I read a news about SNSD.. haha. yeah. i a new fan of them, i used to be their anti but i think, i ashamed to admit that i used to be anti of them. okay, back to April Fool, as i read the news about Girl’s Generation’s Sunny, it tells that after the promotion of Run Devil Run she will out of the group but in the middle of the article there is a line saying

April Fool 😦

i hate this so much. Why is it that i easily get fooled by anyone?

and now, i posted a news about kibum oppa  here. leaving SME and it means that he is leaving super junior too.
my first impression was “oh! insane kibum oppa, now that you’ve been very famous to super junior and now that you will decide to leave”
i don’t know if I’m going to believe on this because in the article there is no April fool.

☺nah! i really hate it… it drives me crazy.

i checked the link source of the article but there is no article like it in the source link.
isn’t just a fan talk? are they just fooling me and everyone to get panic?
oh, this one is not a joke, this kibum oppa is bringing the name of super junior, leaving super junior is hard and it is more hard to super junior members to let go to kibum and to the others like hangeng and kangin oppa.

i read the statement of the lawyer of hangeng, it’s really a burden to super junior’s hangeng if he will stay to sme because there is a lot of pain he experience since the start of his career.
isnt because he is from china and not from korea and just to treat him unfairly? he has a heart too, he can feel what Korean feels too and even Korean feels what Chinese feels. So, everyone, treat the people around us fairly.

i made my decision that i’m not going in a paradise :(

i call it paradise where i can achieve one of my dreams but i think i cant go in that paradise.
i mean i cant go to the concert of super junior here in Philippines, i believe it is a fate that i cant go but i hoping that this will change in the last week of march.
the reason why i cant to be with the elf Filipino are:
i don’t have the guts to stay in manila even in a few days only.
now, that i’m still 14 years old girl
i don’t have enough money
i don’t have home where i can be home (well, i think there is a hotel)
and most of all,  i promise to my self just in this morning that once i’m going to meet super junior, i want to them to be complete.
sound so selfish right? but that’s what i want and i guess, there are still elf who want to see them complete right?

even if i cant go, at first i know i will regret because its already my oppurtunity to see them but i think there is still lot of days, months, years & and even a decades where they will come here in philippines.

nothing to worry coz i know maybe, next year 2011.

they will come back and they are complete coming here in Philippines and good news because I’m going to college next year(2011) in manila.

i dont have to spend lot of money just to see them.
coz i know they are coming.

i believe that everything is a fate and its a God’s Will.

more and more i love u more :) ♥!!~~ lot of things to ask? here is the place

Heya ! I’m back with what I belong :)

It’s been so long since I wrote my last entry.
I was touched by the comments of most Thailand Elfs. They keep telling me that I should post again and they keep inspiring me by their sweet messages 🙂

So, Dare with me.. thought i’m not fast like what i fast before… but i will try my best to post fresh from the oven news of SUPER JUNIOR.

LET’S SPREAD THE LOVE OF SUPER JUNIOR ALL OVER THE WORLD 🙂

3 BOYS I REALLY TREASURE !

i wasnt able to speak about SUPER JUNIOR because i was so busy in school.

it’s like I’ve made the decision that not to make this blog as it used to be, i mean, this blog will not feed you something like it used to be. but it will feed you the thought that comes from the deepest part of my heart 🙂

okay, i’ll start with KANGIN
we all know that he just entered the military last June 11, 2010. There is a big possibility that when he come back, he will change alot and he will be the most respected SUPER JUNIOR MEMBER.
but for now, i’m praying that he is compatible and comfortable on what and where he is right now, i know that feeling of being alone in a crowded place ; I don’t know how to make friends when they’re not the one approching me but i know and i believe in KANGIN that he’ll make a memorable memories in staying with his co-armies because he is just the most talkative and itching tongue among all the members.

HANGENG the beijing fried rice PRINCE

this member is the most controversial member of all, not because he did something bad but he did something for his own sake.
i know, the feeling of HANGENG in requesting a termination and i know that reasons why and it is because of his health and for his the right of being a Chinese citizen, we all know that even he requested this one we all know that he had fun with SME because what you see in the top is the one who build the name SUPER JUNIOR and i’m very thankful about it. I know, so far, SME did something good with hangeng but it not enough compared to the treatment to the other members.

I hope he will make the right decision, I want him to be with Super Junior again but when we talk about health, much better to leave that to sacrifice his self.

i miss KIBUM thats all i can say because not being with the ACTIVITIES of super junior is not a problem for me because like what he said, acting is also part of super junior’s activity.

`its making me like a dog who keep howling for justice` :(

I don’t know to myself but why can’t i do the same thing in my real life.
i’m good in doing advise with my friend when they have problem but why can’t in my real life.

i’m a this kind of STUPID & DUMB who doesn’t know anything about real life.

WELL,  i will just accept that fact that i commit mistake yet don’t accused me for something i never do because i don’t know what i’m feeling right whether i’m in the good mood coz i’m not ! — its making me like a dog who keep howling for justice.

`A RAIN has come to me this day ! HOPING FOR a SUN RISE tomorrow !

I don’t know whether i should show or express my problem because its been a 3 months or something that i’m not updating.

okay, i’ll start with this, IS IT OKAY TO YOU GUYS TO BE ACCUSED BY SOMEONE YET YOU DO NOT DO SOMETHING !
just this morning, i don’t want to spicfy what happened but i’m being accused for something i’ve never do.
it’s not that i’m putting down my friend because it all her fault, I, myself accept that fact that i’ve made a mistake and i already ask for sorry about it but there’s a thing i wanted to clear up that i’m not the one who did it.

i don’t want that when people sees me, they will call me something like that yet i never did something.

i really respect your decision yet can you please let me explain to everyone that i’m not the one who did it because in the eyes of somebody I’M A BIG DIRT !

i’m with the special class and i know me and my friend is making a history but in that case i still want to defend my self before making an action from the highest.

the things about KANGIN !

It’s been a long time that I wasnt here posting regulary yet the name kangin still showing up on my mind telling that I miss him and yes, its true.

Though this one is the most painful yet I, myself should and must accept that Kangin is going to army and after two years is his comeback but does the two is too long for me to wait ? well, waiting isnt important to me as long as i know the name Kangin will still shine together with Super Junior.

I’ll be waiting for you KANGIN OPPA

hello !

it’s been so long time since i got and have posted something here 🙂
this past few months is the busiest month ever preparing for our school and now, that i’m a senior students means i’m graduating.
i so miss blogging the thoughts that i’ve posted … every single entry i post is the most precious post to me.

i hope i can post regularly someday 🙂

[INTERVIEW] Asia MYX Extended Special, Snippets From The SS2 Manila Press Conference

Group: Super E.L.F.

Member No.: 18,704

The following are some of the questions and answers during the Super Junior SS2 press conference here in Manila. I didn’t make a transcript for the full interview because the interviewers kept asking the same questions so the answers were becoming kinda redundant. 😀

With Gretchen Fullido

Gretchen: Are there funny stories within the group? You guys teasing one another, something like that that you wanna share to your fans?
Shindong: Our biggest concern right now is our diet and lately, we’re all working out and keeping up with our healthy meals. Siwon had a photoshoot where he showed off his abs, like perfect abs, and because of that, it triggered all of the other members to work out and do our diet. So although we’re not showing it right now, I’m pretty much confident that we all have perfect abs.
Gretchen: Can you show the abs? -laughs- (motions for them to lift their shirts)
(Shindong stands up and rubs his stomach)
Gretchen: Well this will be your last concert for the tour and we’re very excited about it but are you planning to come back to the Philippines since we all wanna see more of Super Junior.
Leeteuk: We would love to come back. Actually if you want to see our abs, you have to come to the concert and be there from the start to the end and you will see a lot of devices and our abs too.
Gretchen: So you’re showing your abs tonight?
Siwon: *motions “No” with his hand*
Leeteuk: Yes!
-laughs- (Siwon embarrassed)

With Iya Villania

Iya: Hiii! (Leeteuk: Hiii!) Welcome to the Philippines! *awkward silence* Welcome! -laughs- Now I do understand it’s your first time here in the Philippines, how do you feel about it?
(Kyuhyun sitting with legs wide open)
Leeteuk: We’ve always wanted to go here and visit. Having that dream come true, and to be seating right here… we’re just very excited!
(Kyuhyun closes his legs sheepishly)

Iya: All of you sing and dance, how difficult is it?
Eunhyuk: Well, singing and dancing is of course very difficult. However, we are a lot in a group so we need to have perfect choreography and perfect blocking. But we have members, Yesung-sshi, Kyuhyun-sshi, Ryeowook-sshi, that are excellent singers so we cover up for small mistakes. You need to be really smart to memorize all these together.

Iya: Okay, now how about your subgroups. How different are they from each other?
Leeteuk: There are actually 4 units right now – Super Junior M, Super Junior T, Happy and K.R.Y. Each has its own unique flavor or style in music. All of these have a different target audience. Super Junior M is for the Chinese. K.R.Y is basically for the Japanese. They’re trying to come out with a new sub-unit targeting a different audience so you better watch out for that.

Note: There’s a part in this segment where Ryeowook is just staring straight at Iya and Eunhyuk turns to his side to face Ryeowook. Hyuk then proceeds to quietly say something to him and they both smile and look back at Iya. A little after that, Heechul and Siwon start whispering to each other as well and they look at how Iya is sitting down with her legs crossed. Then Heechul crosses his legs too. Haha!

With Dino Imperial and San Concepcion

Dino: What do you know about the Philippines so far?
Leeteuk: Philippines, unlike Korea is a very hot country. It’s very cold back in Korea right now. But as much as the weather is hot here, the people too are very warm in welcoming us. We look forward to the success of the show that’s about to happen tonight.
Kyuhyun: I noticed that a lot of Koreans live here as well. I have also been very familiar with the word “Manila” since I was a kid because before, I used to play board games and spelled “Manila” often. So I have been very familiar with it. (Other members smiling at his answer, Siwon covering his face at this point and Leeteuk reaching out to Kyuhyun, asking for the microphone. Haha!)

With the rest of the Press

What made you want to be a part of Super Junior?
Kyuhyun: It was our childhood dream to become singers. And with a lot of good support from other people, we were able to achieve this. (members are smiling and muttering to themselves)

Sungmin: The reason why we’ve always wanted to come to the Philippines was because a lot of fans came to visit us in Korea to see our radio shows and musicals to show their support. Knowing that we have indeed a lot of fans here, we really wanted to come.

Leeteuk: There’s a song we’ve been liking since we arrived here in the Philippines.(Starts singing a song I cannot recognize haha!)

What is the one you do before you before? Do you have any rituals?
Siwon: (In English) We just pray to God. We just pray before we go to the stage. -audience claps and cheers- (Siwon looks amused and kinda baffled with the response. Haha!)

For Sungmin and Yesung, You are starring in musicals. What do the other members think about that?
Shindong: We think very good if it.
*Sungmin shows off his round house kick* (looks shy afterwards.♥)
Yesung: He can actually do much better than that but he has to rest for now. His legs are not in perfect condition.

The next question is for Lee Dong Hae. It seems that you’re really the most popular member here in the Philippines. Do you have anything to say to your Filipino fans?
Donghae: Really? First of all, I’m really shocked to know that I’m the most popular member. If it is indeed true, (Eunhyuk whispers something to Donghae), it means that I’m also contributing to the popularity of Super Junior. I also wish that I could make a drama series here in the Philippines if possible.

Hello, I’d like to ask you guys if you still have stage fright?
Ryeowook: Its been five years since we began performing on stage. But despute the years we are still frightened and scared when we go to the stage.

Do you watch Siwon’s show?
Leeteuk: Yes we watch Siwon’s drama and his acting is really improving! He plays an artist in his TV series and recently, he had a kissing scene with one of the leading actresses. We were all kind of jealous of him and were surprised when we saw the kissing scenes of Siwon. We were like “Wooooooo!”

Happee Sy (concert organizer)
To Filipino ELF: Please watch out for Super Junior’s comeback on February 2011.

Charice Pempengco

“They were really the first international artists that I got to appear with…that was when I guested in Star King and had a duet with Kyuhyun singing A Whole New World. That was 2007… They are really nice people, especially Kyuhyun whom I got to interact with more because we were together in the dressing room for quite some time. Kyuhyun is so shy but all I can say is that he’s super nice! I’m proud because it was only a while ago that I was with them; and Korea, and they’re really big there. When I found out that they had a concert here, I wish I watched them. I’m really happy and proud of Super Junior. ” (Translated by:stripedzebra89@sj-world.net)

[INTERVIEW] Super Junior: ‘We Want to Be Longest-Running Idol Group Ever’
Super Junior: ‘We Want to Be Longest-Running Idol Group Ever’

Whenever the idol group Super Junior is mentioned, the modifier “Yeneung-dol” (idol group members who are showing superior talent on entertainment programs) always follows. Every member of Super Junior is actively participating in various entertainment programs, TV dramas, and musicals, but, at the same time, they have been failing to push their image as singers.

But, surprisingly, their third album entitled “Sorry, Sorry” sold more than 250,000 copies last year, and they ranked atop the album sales. In addition, their fourth album entitled “Bonamana,” which was released recently, also sold 200,000 copies for the first order, and the total number of sales for only one week exceeded 100,000 copies.

Super Junior is differentiated from other idol groups who release mini album and are earning profits from the digital music market. In a recent interview with members of Super Junior, nine members out of thirteen members came out for the interview held in Apgujeong-dong.

One member, Kang In, had been caught in a crackdown on drunk drivers last year, and now he is planning to join the army, and Chinese member Han Kyung is now involved in a lawsuit with his agency SM Entertainment regarding his exclusive contract. Another member, Ki Bum, could not participate in the fourth album due to his busy acting activities. Also, Choi Si Won could not come to the interview as he had to receive medical surgery to remove an infection on his salivary gland.

As there are so many members in Super Junior, they could not have peaceful days last year, and had to go through hard times due to many unfavorable factors and rumors. During the interview, they talked about their feelings for what happened so far and they also said their ambition is to continue their activities until they reach their forties or fifties and host the “Super Junior Show” someday.

Followings are questions and answers with members of Super Junior.

Interviewer: You must have gone through significant distress due to some members’ personal problems.

▲ Lee Teuk: It was hard for me when I had to smile even in a difficult situation when showing up for entertainment programs. In particular, I was shocked when I found out that Han Kyung has gone through a lawsuit. But, since we left his seat empty, I want him back all the time. Kang In is burning to participate in our activities these days, and he always gives us advice after monitoring our performances. I will do my best to keep “Super Junior” together until every member can join again.

▲ Hee Chul: I was in a state of panic when my best friend Han Kyung left for China. I almost thought of withdrawing from the group because I was so depressed. I started getting more famous when I started acting, not as a member of Super Junior, and I was not as good at singing like some other members such as Ye Sung, Kyu Hyun, and Ryeo Wook, and not as good at dancing like other members such as Dong Hae and Eun Hyuk. But, members with whom I used to fight have stood by me and helped me in many ways. Only the fact that they are together with me suddenly became a great help and source of appreciation for me. In particular, Eun Hyuk helped me to change my mind. Thanks to him, I was tempted to do activities for our new album for the first time. I want to go back to the time when we released our first album and want to put forth my best efforts for activities.

Interviewer: Despite many unfavorable factors, your album sales, especially the sales of your third and fourth albums, are outstanding. Does it mean that the number of your fans has increased?

▲ Lee Teuk: I was surprised that people are buying our fourth album as well. There are good things and bad things when we appear on entertainment programs. We may lose our image as singers, but at the same, I think that we can advertise ourselves to the public. Also, besides us, many other entertainers have sung “Sorry, Sorry” on many programs.

▲ Hee Chul: When idol members show up on entertainment programs, it is easier for them to target teenage fans, but usually older viewers seem to like them. I think that appearing on an entertainment program is like a double-edged sword.

Interviewer: The title song of the fourth album, “Bonamama” sounds very similar to your previous hit song “Sorry, Sorry.” Do you think that a certain style of the music has emerged for Super Junior?

▲ Lee Teuk: When we listened to the song for the first time, we also thought that the song is very similar to “Sorry, Sorry.” It is natural that people begin to compare those two songs. We put the name of “SJ (Super Junior) Funky” for songs which combine dance and electronic sounds, and reminds people of Super Junior. I also gave it a five star evaluation on the music website.

Interviewer: But, except the title song, I could find many simple melody songs which require outstanding singing ability.

▲ Lee Teuk: In 2007, when the Super Junior unit “Super Junior K.R.Y.” planned to release an album, Kyu Hyun had a car accident, so many good songs could not be included in the album at that time. And actually those good songs have come together with this new album. So, the portion of songs that require singing ability has been increased. For example, when I listened to the youngest member Ryeo Wook’s solo song entitled “Spring Day” repeatedly while I was driving, I almost felt like crying.

Interviewer: Do you think that you have more interest in music compared to the past, as you have already released four albums?

▲ Lee Teuk: In debut, we just focused on recording songs. But, these days, we tend to present our opinions, saying, “What if we try this part this way?” when we arrange songs. In our previous album, Ryeo Wook’s own song was included, and for the repackaged album of the fourth album, which will be released soon, more songs that were made by other members will be included. I think it is time for our members to show off our talent in music.

Interviewer: Usually, the life expectancy of an idol group is regarded to range from three to five years. As Super Junior debuted in 2005, does it mean that Super Junior has already reached its lifespan?

▲ Lee Teuk: You are totally right. I can imagine that people might look at us with the same viewpoint with which I looked at senior star singers such as H.O.T. and Shin Hwa, who already released their fourth and fifth albums when I was an aspiring singer. Sometimes, I think, “Do we have to stop performing as Super Junior?” But, these days, we perform not only in Korea, but also in other Asian countries, so only four or five years are not enough. We became popular after significant time had passed, so I think that it means that we can last longer.

▲ Hee Chul: I and Lee Teuk are 28 years old now. I know there are many cute and fresh junior singers. But, I want to stress our longevity as we appear on various broadcasting, and at the same, I want to hold many performances whenever we release a new album. I like to perform on the stage because it is very exciting.

Interviewer: How do you think people regard idol groups?

▲ Lee Teuk: I think that it is somewhat exaggerated. People say that the industries of advertisement, drama, and music have been conquered by idols, but actually there are not many programs with more than ten percent viewer ratings among programs in which idols appear. “Idol” means a target of admiration. Actually, many senior doyenne singers such as Cho Yong Phil, Na Hoon A, the group Fire Truck, Park Nam Jeong, and Seo Taiji and Boys used to be idols in their times. As time goes by, people just tend to remember that they were not idols. During any time, there were idols that people admire. The word “idol” is just much more focused and stands out more than before these days. As a member of an idol group, I feel sorry that people do not have an interest in the music, but rather in other additional factors, of idols.

▲ Hee Chul: We wanted to break away from the image of idol groups in entertainment programs. When Shin Dong attaches a fake mustache and dresses himself up comically, he does not look like an idol group member, and moreover I am proud of him. Whenever Lee Teuk, Eun Hyuk, and Shin Dong come on SBS TV’s “Strong Heart,” they brainstorm for ideas like comedians do. But, sometimes I feel bad when I find out that people regard us as washed-up entertainers and criticize us rather than cheering for our efforts on the stage as singers and on the entertainment programs.

Interviewer: At this moment, when you released your fourth album, is it the time that you are trying to free yourself from idol groups?

▲ Lee Teuk: When we debuted, we wanted to abandon the title of idol group. But, we have come this far as the idol group Super Junior, so I do not want to lose the idol title. Rather, I want to keep this title until we reach our forties and fifties and become senior star singers for a long time. As we have thirteen members, if only one member stands out per year, we can last for thirteen years. But, only less than half the members have become popular and have stood out until now. As we were recorded as having the largest number of members when we debuted, we want to break new records in the Korean music industry.

▲ Yea Sung: There are also cultural differences. In the case of Japan, star groups such as SMAP and Arashi, who debuted a long time ago, are still gaining huge popularity. We want to be loved by people like those groups for such a long time for the first time in Korea. Even after we reach our thirties, we want to continue to release albums and have performances. As we see that our members become more acknowledged in various fields and our album sales are increasing, we might already have passed the limit as an idol group little by little as we approach our future goal.

▲ Hee Chul: We want to make the “Super Junior Show,” which enables us to communicate with people, like the program “SMAPxSMAP,” which SMAP has been hosting in Japan.

Interviewer: Shin Dong has become a hot topic, as he proposed to his girlfriend using codes on the album jacket of the fourth album.

▲ Shin Dong: I was surprised to see that fans had broken the codes so fast. I was wrong because I should not have put my personal messages on the album which was originally made for our fans. I am really sorry to the other members and our fans.

▲ Hee Chul: I am sorry to our fans, but I think that he was very brave as a man. But, actually it was a shocking message for me, too. I did not even know that the message was so strong like that. [Marry me. I am proposing to you.]

Interviewer: How do you evaluate Choi Si Won’s acting, who just finished the drama “Oh! My Lady?”

▲ Lee Teuk: His acting, especially his facial expressions, were much better than when he appeared in the movie “Battle of Wits.” He has shown playful looks that he used to show us. When I looked at his acting when he drunkenly kissed a girl in the drama while he left the door of the refrigerator wide open, he looked so greasy.

[INTERVIW] Super Junior’s Han Geng At IDOL Magazine In China
May 31, 2010, 4:01 pm
Filed under: Han Geng, super junior, Super Junior Magazine, Super Junior Solo

After ‘disappearing’ for so long, Hangeng has once again returned to our side, with more confidence than ever before. He can now tell everyone – he is free. To be able to sleep till he wakes up by himself, learning things that interest him, and also being able to be together with his family members. All the hard-work that he has put in for the last few years were not in vain, with so many people still supporting him, anticipating his comeback once again. Looks like this path that Hangeng chose was not wrong, going back to hometown allowed him to appreciate what he have now, and with all those old memories will be in his heart, the feeling of freedom has never been so carefree.

Healthy living of sleeping and waking up early

As stress and pressure builds up on us every day, our wants tends to be lesser and lesser. To be able to sleep till one wakes up is like a dream. To work so stressfully every day, we sometime wonder what we are doing all these for. Why not we just forget it, don’t work, don’t live with so much money, and just being able to sleep all we want. However, life doesn’t allow us to live life this way, which is why our Hangeng, who has gone through much hardship, finally decides to take a break, and go on hiatus.

During his hiatus, a lot of his fans wondered how he was doing, and because of these, came a lot of rumors. It was a good thing that Hangeng didn’t make us wait long, and recently, there has been a lot of news regarding him, with the new Hangeng looking more healthy, but the reason wasn’t what others have been speculating, which was that his leaving that made him feel this way. Hangeng said: “actually, it isn’t what everything thinks it is. Because the last few years had been really busy, there isn’t any personal time at all. So, after leaving, my lifestyle was back to normal, and sleep at 12 every night. The change is rather obvious, it’s better.

This time, Hangeng seem to have gained freedom, being able to sleep at any time he wants. And also to have workouts every afternoon, and these workouts makes him look less thin and more manly. Hangeng also said that he feels life is now more meaningful, other than exercising and practicing dancing every day, he is also learning English, and some of these things are things that he wished to learn a few years before but never got the chance to. And now, to be able to achieve all this is in exchange for the hard work he has put in. Freedom can only be gained after the hard work.

Father and Mother, it has been a long time.

When we were young, we always hoped for that one day where we need not be always by our parents’ side. This way, there won’t be anyone to bother us. However, as we grow up, when we really leave our parents’ side, we wish for those days where we were together with them. Especially when we are experiencing difficulties, we tend to miss them more. Hangeng was one of them. Going alone to Korea at an early age, and only relying with his capabilities, he stayed in Korea to widen his career prospect. After so many years, we know that Hangeng has grown to this lifestyle. But every time we hear Hangeng saying that he misses his mum did we realise that this 7-foot man will also cry when he misses someone.

Hangeng’s tears are something we rarely see, since he was in exposed to the outside world at a very young age, he is much more matured than anyone else. Even when he encounters difficulties, he wouldn’t tell his mother. It is only behind everyone’s back, that he will let out tears. However, it doesn’t mean that we didn’t see anything, no one knows anything. The heavens must have known about the hardships Hangeng has gone through, and when he decided to leave SM Entertainment, only a small proportion of people were against the idea, while majority of the people supported him. And among those who supported him, were of course his parents. After only being able to see each other occasionally for the last few years, this decision by Hangeng has brought about a family reunion. Hangeng said: “because I was busy in the past, and always not in China, seeing my parents were difficult. Now, I have to gain back lost time.”

Being able to repay all those years of lost time with his parents allowed Hangeng to see his loved ones first thing in the morning. All these may seem like simple actions, but to Hangeng, it took a lot of hard work to exchange for this. This is what being in the entertainment industry is all about, you cannot see what you wish to see, but it is only when you truly put aside your career, that you can get back all these family relationships. Hangeng did it, and in the coming days, there will be no need for Hangeng to cry because he misses his parents, since they are around him, with their hearts even nearer to each other.

The year of 2002

For many people, this year will be as normal as any other year, however, to Hangeng, it was a turning point in his life, because, it was this year that this not even 20 year old boy made his way to Korea alone, starting his career. Thinking back, Hangeng said: “at that time, I was the first foreigner to come to Korea to debut, and the company didn’t know the legislations. So when the company told me that I wouldn’t be able to perform in Korea after today, I immediately burst out crying, like everything around me doesn’t matter anymore.” For a guy to experience such a shock in his life, it was something Hangeng will never forget.

The want to try things out

Because of the young age, even if there were failures, there would be nothing to be afraid about. Harbouring such thoughts, Hangeng went ahead with SM Entertainment to Korea, and decided to set up his career there. “I wanted to try out, and if it wasn’t to my liking, I can always come back to study in university.” With such thinking, Hangeng stayed in Korea, going through the tedious process of practicing every day. It was only after the debut of Super Junior, did Hangeng finally see what lies for his future.

From a member to a leader

Since the debut of Super Junior, from Hangeng wearing a mask on stage, to attending award ceremonies, having people coming up to him for signatures, it was a achievement. And this proved that his initiate choice of staying was right. And when there were sub-groups for Super Junior, such as Super Junior – M and Super Junior – T, Hangeng became the leader of Super Junior – M. bringing both old and new members with him, and going back to his own country, allowed more people to see the hard work he had put in over the years. Even though he isn’t part of Super Junior – M now, people are still able to see the sweat and blood he has put in.
